Election Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

• Will the member get emailed the ballot?

  YES, all eligible IAFC members in good standing will receive a ballot via the email address they have on file with our Membership Department. By IAFC Bylaws, any IAFC member who is in arrears, even if still within the 90-day grace period before permanently being dropped from IAFC membership, is NOT allowed to vote, and will not receive a ballot.

• Will they need to log into their IAFC account before they can vote or is the email link secure and takes them right to voting?

  No, the members will not have to log into their IAFC account before they can vote. The email that members receive is preset to include ONLY the ballot questions that their membership category allows, including eligibility to vote in Division and Section elections. The “ballot” email that the members will receive will provide instructions and unique login credentials to allow direct access to the “Go to Ballot" Button.

• When will they receive the email and who does it come from (spam/junk inbox concerns)?

  Ballot emails will be sent on May 15, 2025. However, seven (7) days before the ballots are sent (May 9, 2025), we send out an IAFC “Call to Action” email notifying members that the IAFC has contracted with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to administer the 2025 election AND to assure that their “election specific broadcast email” arrives in their email inbox on May 15, 2025, they should add “ [email protected]” to their approved senders list. Additionally, this email advises members that if they DO NOT receive their election ballot email by May 15, 2025, they should contact [email protected]. The email also advises that any IAFC Membership or “non-ballot” elections questions should be directed to [email protected].

• What is the last day of voting?

  All ballots must be cast online by June 10, 2025, on or before 11:59 PM, Eastern Time.
